From Colorado roots, Branik has been singing all her life, joining school choirs, taking independent voice lessons in high school and eventually taking her talents to Berklee School of Music in 2009. She spent two wonderful years studying at Berklee before she discontinued her studies on account of vocal surgery. After her recovery, Branik worked to develop her own sound without the accompaniment of another guitar player, which she relied on for many years. As a result, she has carried herself as a true singer and songwriter. She now resides in Seattle where she plays local venues and continues to write original music she hopes will inspire many.
She believes in love, the power of kindness, and really great movie soundtracks. Heavily influenced by the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, Branik brings heartache and soul to her music. She uses a fusion of Pop/Rock and Folk to entrance you with a solo acoustic set.
Branik recently released her debut EP, ‘Why Not’ in March 2019.
As a child, Branik grew up in a video store where soundtracks of cinematic adventures were played often by her mother. As a result, movie soundtracks were the beginning of her love for music. Some of her favorite move soundtracks are Practical Magic, Pulp Fiction, Sahara, Pretty Woman, and Guardians of the Galaxy. As for other musical influences she is heavily influence by Third Eye Blind, Stevie Nicks, Cyndi Lauper, Joni Mitchell, and Mazzy Star.
